Life gets busy; cleaning gets hard. But with temperatures rising and flowers blooming, let’s take advantage of the season and finally put the last of the winter decorations away (including the snowflake window clings). Here are six easy spring cleaning tips to refresh your home:
1. Wipe down and refresh
Tackling your entire home at once can feel impossible – make the task manageable by starting small. Wiping down all your windows, mirrors and countertops goes a long way and only takes a few minutes. Try these natural products for the perfect spring cleaning:
Natural Streak-Free Glass Cleaner - $11.39
Natural All-Purpose Cleaning Wipes Two Pack - $16.58
When it comes time to put back anything that was set aside as you scrubbed, try an organizer to add a finished feeling to your countertops:
Rustic Wood Lazy Susan - $21.97
2. Reorganize your fridge and pantry
If you haven’t already, give clear fridge and pantry organizers a shot. These simple space-savers not only make both spaces look the most put together they ever have, but can even keep refrigerated items fresh longer. There’s plenty of inspiration out there from influencers who have created whole systems out of these organizers, but check out these sets if you’re just starting out:
10 Pack Stackable Bins with Lids - $35.99
Set of 16 Pantry and Refrigerator Bins - $29.99
3. Give your bouquet a new home
One of the best ways to brighten up a room is with fresh flowers (try Trader Joe’s for beautiful, affordable bouquets). Elevate your spring cleaning by showing off your stems in style with a unique vase or two. Thrift stores are goldmines when it comes to fun glassware, but Amazon also has some great options to get you started:
Rectangular Floral Centerpiece- $52.99
4. Pick out a new plant
In the mood for something a bit more durable than a bouquet? Bring home a new house plant! While many of us may be far from having a green thumb, certain plants are nearly impossible to do wrong. Snake plants can go a full month without water, pothos vines can grow in the dark and ZZ plants can survive nearly anything. Grab yours below:
5. Update your throw pillows and blankets
Redoing entire rooms for each season is exhausting. Keep it simple with a quick swap of your throw pillows and blankets. For spring, anything from pastels to earth tones will put you in the spirit and liven up your space. Try this pairing:
Set of Four Double-Sided Velvet Throw Pillows - $36.50
Fringed Yellow Throw Blanket - $25.99
6. Change up your lighting
Another quick way to change the feeling of any room is with lighting. Candles can be tricky with kids or pets running around, but the calming energy they bring for spring is unmatched. Flameless candles are the perfect solution, and new flickering options make them feel just as real. Add some of these to your space:
Set of Three Flameless Pillar Candles in Glass Casing - $23.74
Set of Eight Real Wax Flameless Candles in Pink - $34.98
Depending on where you are, spring might’ve already sprung. Get started on your spring cleaning with these easy, affordable tips that freshen up your space and make it feel brand new. Happy cleaning!
