As the weather warms up, hot coffee gets less and less appealing. But we all need our caffeine kick, and iced coffee is always in style.
With rising prices at Starbucks, there’s no need to spend $5 or more on an iced coffee because we have a great homemade recipe. All you need is five ingredients to make a delicious chilled coffee at home -- for free!
If you’re looking to make iced coffee on a consistent basis, we suggest making a pot of coffee and storing it in the fridge so you have it recipe-ready. But if you’re trying this out for the first time, there’s no problem with sticking a fresh cup of coffee in the fridge for 30 minutes.
For this recipe, you’ll need:
1 cup of cold coffee
½ cup of almond milk
1 tbsp of sugar
2 tsp of almond extract
3-4 large ice cubes
To start, grab a mason jar or a large cup and place the ice cubes inside. If you prefer more ice, feel free to add as you please.
Once the ice is inside your cup, carefully pour the cup of cold coffee over it along with the almond milk, sugar, and almond extract. Carefully mix your ingredients with a spoon until everything is evenly stirred.
And there you have it! A delicious, easy recipe for homemade iced coffee. Enjoy!
