Interns: Round 10

I believe internships have the ability to play a vital role in an individual's life. If it wasn't for my internship at a radio station in 1998, I don't know if I would have had the radio career I did. I know a lot of companies have stopped hosting interns due to legal concerns, but I feel like that's limiting future professionals from exploring their opportunities.
Jill Devine Media believes in interns and the importance of internships. I'm proud to introduce the 10th round of interns to you! Joining Round 10 are Natalie and Rachel!
In addition, Clara O. remains part of JDM and has been responsible for managing the interns and the projects they are working on. Clara was part of the first round of interns.
I'm extremely blessed to have interns to help build the brand and business. Each intern that has been a part of the process has been wonderful and they have a very bright future ahead of them!
Now I would like to introduce JDM's latest interns. Up first, Natalie:

Natalie Cardona is a recent graduate of CUNY Baruch College. She has a BA in Digital Communications and Culture with a minor in law and policy.
She is currently pursuing a career in media and entertainment. She loves music, TV comedies, sports, and trying new cuisines and restaurants with friends.
4 Questions with Natalie:
Would you rather have a home on the beach or in the mountains?
The mountains.
If you could visit one place on Earth where would you go?
Japan. I took courses in college and would love to go learn more about the culture and practice my Japanese.
Would you rather be rich or famous?
Rich. Being famous comes with an emotional and mental toll that I would not be able to handle.
What is your most frequently used emoji?
Crying laughing emoji.

Rachel Rebecca Smith is a graduate student at James Madison University. After earning a BA in Writing, Rhetoric and Technical Communication at JMU, she decided to return to the program for her Master’s. She will graduate with her MA in WRTC this May.
4 Questions with Rachel:
Would you rather have a home on the beach or in the mountains?
Both, all the way. Warm sand, a good book and a cooler full of fun? Wind in the trees, bird’s-eye views and the potential trail to shred if there’s snow? Choosing would be impossible. Now to win the lottery…
If you could visit one place on Earth where would you go?
At the moment I’m all about the Pacific Northwest, but in the name of not being boring since we’re talking anywhere, I’ll go with Germany. I minored in the language during my undergrad years, and actually went on a two-week study abroad trip to Austria and Berlin. But two weeks of guided tours only shows you so much. I’d love to explore Bavaria, specifically. Little mountain towns have my heart.
Would you rather be rich or famous?
Oh my gosh, RICH. My empathy may only go so far given the circumstances, but celebrities really do seem to have a rough go of it mentally. I don’t think I could handle all those eyes on me, not to mention having to give up my daily strolls downtown for fear of paparazzi swarms. No, I think quietly fanning myself with my profits would be plenty.
What is your most frequently used emoji?
I don’t even have to check - it’s the eye roll emoji. Enough said.

Clara Oliveira is a graduate student with a BA in Mass Communications and a BA in Interactive Media & Web Design (with a minor in advertising) from Lindenwood University. She is currently pursuing a double Master's Degree in Digital Marketing (Traffic Management and Lead Generation & Digital Project Management) in Spain.
She has been working with Jill Devine Media since June 2020 and works with other companies as well. She is originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, but has lived in the United States for 3 years and studied abroad in California and New Zealand. She loves traveling, reading, and meeting new people.
4 Questions with Clara:
Would you rather have a home on the beach or in the mountains?
For sure on the beach! I was born and raised in Rio, so living somewhere away from the sea has been a challenge.
If you could visit one place on Earth where would you go?
This question is a very difficult one for me. Traveling is my favorite thing to do and I have been to so many incredible places that I wish I could go back. However, if I had to pick just one place to visit, that would be Thailand.
Would you rather be rich or famous?
Rich. Famous people usually have to give up their privacy and there is always someone talking about them or pointing something out. Having someone watching my every move would be very hard for me.
What is your most frequently used emoji?
The red heart.
