Interns: Round 9

I believe internships have the ability to play a vital role in an individual's life. If it wasn't for my internship at a radio station in 1998, I don't know if I would have had the radio career I did. I know a lot of companies have stopped hosting interns due to legal concerns, but I feel like that's limiting future professionals from exploring their opportunities.

Jill Devine Media believes in interns and the importance of internships. I'm proud to introduce the ninth round of interns to you! Joining round 9 are Ivan and Nana!

In addition, Clara O. remains part of JDM and has been responsible for managing the interns and the projects they are working on. Clara was part of the first round of interns.

I'm extremely blessed to have interns to help build the brand and business. Each intern that has been a part of the process has been wonderful and they have a very bright future ahead of them!

Now I would like to introduce JDM's latest interns. Up first, Ivan:

Ivan Castillo is a graduate student of the "Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo LEon" in Monterrey, Mexico. He's currently pursuing working in social media in the field of sports marketing and looking to start his Master Degree in Sports Management and marketing.

4 Questions with Ivan:

Would you rather have a home on the beach or in the mountains?

Mountains.

If you could visit one place on Earth where would you go?

Machu Picchu.

Would you rather be rich or famous?

Rich.

What is your most frequently used emoji?

Winking face with tongue.

Nana Barratt is an MA Creative and Media Enterprises graduate from the University of Warwick. She previously studied Popular Music, but chose a different career path in writing about advice and life-tips, East-Asian culture, and fighting poverty.

4 Questions with Nana:

Would you rather have a home on the beach or in the mountains?

I would rather have a home in the mountains as the beach is too warm and crowded, but the mountains are isolated, which matches my introverted personality.

If you could visit one place on Earth where would you go?

I have this feeling that I need to travel to Thailand. I don't know why or when, but it's something I need to do. Not for a holiday, but for a great reason I hope to find out one day...

Would you rather be rich or famous?

Although I dislike being in the spotlight, I'd rather be famous as I could use my fame to raise awareness for developing nations and give people the support they need, whether that's supporting single mothers, helping students get a better education, to fighting poverty. Money runs out, but fame can last forever. I think I could raise more money and awareness, and help more people, by getting other people's attention.

What is your most frequently used emoji?

Grimace face.

Clara Oliveira is a graduate student with a BA in Mass Communications and a BA in Interactive Media & Web Design (with a minor in advertising) from Lindenwood University. She is currently pursuing a double Master's Degree in Digital Marketing (Traffic Management and Lead Generation & Digital Project Management) in Spain.

She has been working with Jill Devine Media since June 2020 and works with other companies as well. She is originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, but has lived in the United States for 3 years and studied abroad in California and New Zealand. She loves traveling, reading, and meeting new people.

4 Questions with Clara:

Would you rather have a home on the beach or in the mountains?

For sure on the beach! I was born and raised in Rio, so living somewhere away from the sea has been a challenge.

If you could visit one place on Earth where would you go?

This question is a very difficult one for me. Traveling is my favorite thing to do and I have been to so many incredible places that I wish I could go back. However, if I had to pick just one place to visit, that would be Thailand.

Would you rather be rich or famous?

Rich. Famous people usually have to give up their privacy and there is always someone talking about them or pointing something out. Having someone watching my every move would be very hard for me.

What is your most frequently used emoji?

The red heart.
