Interns: Round Two

I believe internships have the ability to play a vital role in an individual's life. If it wasn't for my internship at a radio station in 1998, I don't know if I would have had the radio career I did. I know a lot of companies have stopped hosting interns due to legal concerns, but I feel like that's limiting future professionals from exploring their opportunities.
Jill Devine Media believes in interns and the importance of internships. I'm proud to introduce the second round of interns to you. I would like to introduce Amy and Madisen and in addition, Clara is sticking around a bit longer. Clara was part of the first round of interns.

Clara Oliveira is a student starting her last semester at Lindenwood University. She is double-majoring in Mass Communications and Interactive Media & Web Design (with a minor in advertising) and has been working as a social media manager for Lindenwood Career Services. She is originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, but has been living in the United States for 3 years now. Before the U.S., she studied abroad in New Zealand. She loves traveling, reading, and meeting new people.
5 Questions with Clara:
Would you rather have a home on the beach or in the mountains?
For sure on the beach! I was born and raised in Rio, so living somewhere away from the sea has been a challenge.
If you could visit one place on Earth where would you go?
This question is a very difficult one for me. Traveling is my favorite thing to do and I have been to so many incredible places that I wish I could go back. However, if I had to pick just one place to visit, that would be Thailand.
Would you rather be rich or famous?
Rich. Famous people usually have to give up their privacy and there is always someone talking about them or pointing something out. Having someone watching my every move would be very hard for me.
What is your most frequently used emoji?
The red heart.
If you could only email or text people for the rest of your life, which one would you choose?
I have a feeling that is easier to communicate via text, so that would be my choice.

Amy Córdoba is a student starting her second semester as a junior at Lindenwood University. She is majoring in Advertising and Strategic Communications with a minor in Business Administration and a certificate in Professional Communications. Amy wants to focus in the Public Relations Industry. She is from Panamá City, Panamá, but has been living in the U.S. since 2018.
5 Questions with Amy:
If you could only email or text people for the rest of your life, which one would you choose?
I would prefer texting, just because I can get a timely response from people.
If you could visit one place on Earth where would you go?
I would definitely go to Greece. Since I was little, this has been my dream. I used to have a default windows wallpaper in my old computer and it ended up being Greece. Since then, I've wanted to visit Greece.
What food do you crave most often?
I usually am craving anything sweet and that involves chocolate-usually ice cream or froyo.
Would you rather have a home on the beach or in the mountains?
I would prefer mountains, because I find them peaceful and relaxing.
What always brings a smile to your face?
Talking to my parents and my brother.

Madisen Schlueter is a junior at Lindenwood University pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Graphic Design. On campus, she is involved in Greek life as a member of the Delta Zeta sorority, where she serves as design chair and creates shirts for chapter events. She’s a native of St. Louis, grew up playing softball and loves traveling. When she’s not studying or working, you can find Madisen at Starbucks catching up with friends.
5 Questions with Madisen:
Would you rather have a home on the beach or in the mountains?
I would love to have a house at the beach. I always look forward to traveling in the summer and hope that a beach will be involved.Â
If you could visit one place on Earth where would you go?
I’m hoping to study abroad and would love to be able to go to Europe if possible.
Would you rather be rich or famous?
I would rather be rich than famous. I don’t think I would like it if my life was in the public eye and I felt like someone was always watching me.Â
What is your most frequently used emoji?
The heart eyes emoji.
If you could only email or text people for the rest of your life, which one would you choose?
I would choose to only text people for the rest of my life. Texting in my opinion is easier and you can get responses faster.Â
I'm thankful for these ladies and the knowledge they are bringing to Jill Devine Media!
