National Relaxation Day

Today is National Relaxation Day!

National Relaxation Day encourages us to slow down and unwind. It's a day to focus on taking care of ourselves and take a moment to relax. National Relaxation Day is an important day as we all need a break from the fast-paced and often hectic lifestyles we live.

For me, being pampered with a facial, pedicure, and a massage is the ultimate day of relaxation. Throw in some spicy margaritas, anything other than a kid’s movie on the TV, and I am a happy gal!

I went on social media and asked others what they liked to do to relax and here were some answers I received:

*Work out

*Drink red wine

*Listen to great music

*Baths

*Netflix

*Walks

*Facial

I remember when I talked to Jessica Butler on the podcast, we talked about a blog post she wrote for Raise Magazine titled the Top 10 Self-Care Products For Moms In Quarantine. I thought this would be great to share on National Relaxation Day!

Here are a few of the self-care products she recommends:

Dr Teal's Pure Epsom Salt Soothe & Sleep Lavender Soaking Solution-

A game changer for bath time. You can also use unscented bath salts and essential oils.

Homemade Face Mask-

Mix honey, cinnamon, and lemon juice together until you have a paste-like consistency. Use it as a face mask for 20 minutes, and your face will legitimately glow. Better than any mask I've ever bought.

Eucalyptus Bouquet-

Grab some live eucalyptus from the grocery store and tie to your shower head. You'll get a eucalyptus steam shower for 4 weeks straight, and nothing beats it.

Now, go and celebrate! You must!
