Run Away With Circus Flora

The Flying Wallendas

The brand-new season of Circus Flora is right around the corner! A favorite summertime tradition for so many families, this dazzling show under the Big Top in Grand Center returns for a four-week run. Audiences can see “The Quest for the Innkeeper’s Cask” from June 9 through July 3. “We’re so excited to be back on our summer schedule,” said Artistic Director Jack Marsh, who creates the show each year with Theatrical Director Cecil MacKinnon. “There’s no better time to enjoy Circus Flora than summertime in St. Louis.”

Circusgoers can expect plenty of surprises as the troupe seeks the fabled ghost of an Innkeeper, believed to be

dwelling under the city’s streets, who they believe is responsible for mischief around town. But lurking in the

caves are more spirits, ghosts, and ghouls. Can our gang overcome their ghost-phobia and restore order in the

town?

This is the 36th season of Circus Flora, and audiences will be delighted to see both familiar faces and

astonishing new acts. Returning for 2022 are The Flying Wallendas and their stunning highwire performance,

The Flying Cortes with their astounding trapeze work, The Daring Horseman with his fan-favorite equine

companions, and The St. Louis Arches with their amazing floor show.

New to the Big Top are Sam & Louis (a phenomenal “Russian cradle” aerial act), Ambrose Martos (a hilarious

actor, clown, and MC), Trio Black Diamond (a three-person balancing act joining Circus Flora from Ethiopia), and Britt Lower (a renowned actress currently starring as Helly on the critically acclaimed Apple+ series Severance). “The variety of our acts this year is just incredible,” said Karen Shoulders, Executive Director of Circus Flora. “We simply can’t wait to welcome everyone to the Big Top for our new show.”

The Peanut-Free Preview will take place on Thursday, June 9, and Opening Night is Saturday, June 11. Tickets

for “The Quest for the Innkeeper’s Cask” begin at just $10, making a trip to the circus an affordable option

for families seeking an unforgettable outing. Plus, guests can expect extra fun on the midway this season,

including face painting and pony rides. Circus Flora is also introducing new theme nights, including Baseball

Night (June 15), Hockey Night (June 22), and Pride Night (June 29).
